As a CEO, my journey began with creating products to help others who were struggling with hair thinning and loss. I poured my energy into researching natural ingredients, testing formulas, and listening to the needs of my community. What I didn’t expect was that one day, I would be my own client—turning to the very products I created to restore my own hair health.
Hair loss doesn’t discriminate. Stress, nutrition, hormonal shifts, and even genetics can create setbacks for anyone—even those of us behind the brand. This personal experience deepened my connection to my work. It also reminded me that true wellness begins with consistency, education, and intention.
Building a Hair Care Routine That Works
Establishing a routine isn’t just about slathering on oils or creams. It’s about creating a system that nurtures your scalp, strengthens your strands, and supports your overall well-being. Here’s how I guide myself and my clients:
-
Cleanse with Purpose – Choose a gentle shampoo that removes buildup without stripping natural oils. Always check labels for sulfates, parabens, and harsh detergents that can worsen dryness or thinning.
-
Nourish the Scalp – Scalp care is hair care. Oils infused with rosemary, peppermint, or castor stimulate circulation and strengthen follicles. Massaging the scalp for 5–10 minutes increases blood flow and enhances absorption.
-
Condition and Seal – Moisture is non-negotiable. Look for conditioners and leave-ins with aloe vera, shea butter, and hydrolyzed proteins. These ingredients hydrate and fortify fragile hair.
-
Protect Consistently – Nightly silk or satin wraps, pillowcases, and low-tension styles reduce unnecessary breakage.
Learning to Read Labels
One of the most empowering steps in my own journey was learning to decode product labels. Marketing terms like “all-natural” or “strengthening” don’t always tell the full story. Instead, focus on:
-
First Five Ingredients – These make up the majority of the product. If water, oils, or botanicals are high on the list, that’s a good sign.
-
Key Nutrients – Biotin, niacin, zinc, keratin, and amino acids are hair-supportive ingredients often found in topical treatments.
-
Avoiding Fillers – Silicones and heavy waxes can coat the hair without addressing underlying health.
Nutrition: Feeding Hair from the Inside Out
Topical solutions are powerful, but hair health is also a mirror of what we eat. Vitamins and minerals that benefit hair growth should be incorporated both internally and externally:
-
Iron & Zinc – Prevent shedding and support follicle strength. Found in lentils, spinach, pumpkin seeds, and seafood.
-
Vitamin D – Linked to healthy hair follicles. Sunlight, mushrooms, and fortified foods are great sources.
-
B Vitamins (especially Biotin & Niacin) – Improve thickness and growth. Found in oats, whole grains, nuts, and avocados.
-
Omega-3 Fatty Acids – Reduce inflammation in the scalp. Found in chia seeds, walnuts, and salmon.
-
Vitamin E – Helps with circulation and repair. Found in sunflower seeds, almonds, and spinach.
The CEO’s Lesson
What began as a mission to help others grew into a personal testimony. Using my own products taught me patience, accountability, and the power of a holistic approach. Hair growth isn’t just about a quick fix—it’s about aligning daily habits, nutrition, and intentional care.
When you understand your products, learn how to nourish yourself from the inside out, and stay consistent with your routine, you give your hair the best chance to thrive.
And as I’ve learned both as a CEO and as a client, the journey is just as important as the results.
