Akilah Walker is a licensed cosmetologist, certified Phlebotomist and Owner of Nyuki Hair Studio. She has 7 years of experience in Hair Restoration and Rejuvenation. With knowledge of Natural medicine, Akilah Walker created Nyuki Hair Products, a Total Body Wellness brand. She continues to offer quality experiences by creating awareness of the dimensions of wellness by traveling the East Coast and attending Health, beauty, and wellness events. When attending events Akilah educates customers on the different types of hair loss, offering on-site consultations with product recommendations for customers to begin their hair rejuvenation.
Three years after Nyuki Hair Products’ best seller, Nyuki Oil, was launched, Akilah conducted a study to identify the main causes of hair loss. From the data gathered her findings led her to analyze Blood Chemistry reports. After relocating to St. Petersburg Florida, Akilah received a grant to expand her knowledge of Blood Chemistry through the Phlebotomy program at Southern Technical Institute. Akilah’s Hair Loss study has identified those who experience hair loss and why, through this study, she has helped customers restore their hair after recurring hair loss from terminal illnesses, blood, hormonal, and mental health diagnoses.
She continues to address health disparities through her Health and Wellness Program and utilizes Blood Chemistry Reports to identify deficiencies in lifestyle and eating habits. Akilah’s research and development have led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, where she will continue to bridge the gap of health, beauty, and wellness education in the field of cosmetology.
